Things To Do

If you’re heading off to a fancy do, try a Make-under at Fluff on Gertrude Street. Fluff is a Casual Cosmetics™ company that makes and sells makeup, and they’re very cool. Just ask Instagram.

For great locally grown produce and hand-made products head to The Fitzroy Mills Markets on held on Saturday mornings. It's become a weekend ritual to get ahead for the week! Plus it's super dog-friendly!

Stay

Feel like a local, and stay above our Fitzroy shop! Autumn is the perfect season in Melbourne…the leaves are changing, there’s a slight chill at night and glorious sunny days.

Book your stay!

Food

Just down the road on Gertrude Street is newly-opened ISH, an Indian-inspired contemporary restaurant. Delicious cocktails with Indian ingredients, and dishes that combine familiar flavours with modern techniques.

The perfect place for the cooling weather I think!

A well-known local secret spot is Napier Quarter, an espresso & wine bar in Fitzroys backstreets. You'll find a menu focused on local in-season produce with a wonderful range of wines to match. Sit outside and watch the world go by...

And if you're thirsty...

The Incubator by Fixation Brewing Co on Smith Street has opened and pouring their varying takes on the IPA. Hop-tastic!

Shops

One of my favourite stores to get lost in, is The Hub General Store, down the road on Cambridge Street.

I get my honey from here, among many other beautiful homey staples.

If you haven't already lusted after furnishings at Castorina & Co, then you need to. Opening on Gertrude Street a few months ago, their focus is on original and restored European 20th Century furnishings. A delight for the mid-century design aficionados.
